Diamonds! Or Cubic Zirconium?

I needed to learn more about MentalRay materials and material editing in general in 3DS Max 2010, so I made these diamonds. The render took much too long to render, but I believe the results are worth it.

Jay Z


Another work I made in zBrush. Jay Z is at the height of his popularity, so I decided to model him in Maya and zBrush. Hard lessons learned with texturing on this one; always try to find or snap many reference pictures of a person you're trying to recreate photo-realistically, it will make your life one hundred times easier.

Medusa

Still trying to figure out the intricacies of WordPress. Anyway, Medusa, a creature created for a budding game concept. Created in zBrush using zSketch and zSpheres to pose. I'll probably be remodeling this as I love the idea behind it but could do a much better job now that I've spent time with zBrush.
